If you were using the popular Windows file archiver called WinRAR I wanted to let you know that a security vulnerability has been discovered, and thankfully fixed that allows remote hackers to enable code execution on vulnerable devices. What it means is that if you are running WinRAR and you do not have the latest update your Windows computer can be easily hacked into. Please go and make sure you are running the latest version of WinRAR immediately following the steps:
- Open WinRAR.
- Click on ‘Help’ and Then ‘About WinRAR’ Click on the ‘About WinRAR’ option found in the ‘Help’ drop-down list.
- Check Your Version. …
- Download the Latest Version of WinRAR.
That’s it, you are now protected against the latest vulnerability.
