Hi Guys,

Microsoft is stopping support for windows seven professional and enterprise additions on Tuesday, January 10, 2023. This means they will no longer send security updates for critical vulnerabilities.

If you are a user of Microsoft Windows 7, you need to upgrade now. Thousands of threats target Microsoft products every year, and if you are not running a fully patched system, you’re extremely vulnerable to being hacked.

In a statement from Microsoft:

“Most Windows 7 devices will not meet the hardware requirements for upgrading to Windows 11; as an alternative, compatible Windows 7 PCs can be upgraded to Windows 10 by purchasing and installing a full version of the software.”

“Before investing in a Windows 10 upgrade, please consider that Windows 10 will reach its end of support date on October 14, 2025.”

If you are running Windows 7:

  • Try and upgrade to Windows 11. Pending on the age of your physical computer, you may not be able to upgrade to Windows 11, but it is worth trying.
  • If you cannot upgrade to Windows 11, I suggest you upgrade to Windows 10 but keep in mind that Microsoft will stop supporting Windows 10 on October 14 2025.
  • If you are unable to upgrade to Windows 10 or Windows 11, it means that you need to buy a new computer.

Security updates are critical to protecting your computer’s health and personal information. Please treat this very, very seriously.
