Hi Guys,
One of the most powerful steps you can do to protect your phone from attackers is very simple. All you have to do is follow these three steps:
Step 1: Turn Your Phone off completely
Step 2: Turn your phone back on
Step 3: Do this every few days
The reason is that attackers can often break into a phone using temporary memory hacks, which are tiny security holes in your device’s memory system. They can temporarily take control of a device by accessing these exposed parts of your device’s memory, and from there, they can do all sorts of things like remotely install spyware, turn on your camera or copy the contents of your device. This is how Pegasus spyware from the NSO group was able to take control of so many Android and iPhone devices. They also did not need to jailbreak or root the device by taking advantage of these memory hacks.
The good news is that if you turn your phone off and on again, it wipes all of these temporary files, including malicious ones that may have been put there by a remote attacker. Rebooting your phone restores your memory system to the way it was before any attacker took control. Sometimes the simple solutions are the best.
Let me know if you need any help, and please do pass this along to anyone you think might benefit from it.
Thanks and have a great day.
