Hi Guys,

I hope you are well. If you would like to better secure your Instagram account please follow these instructions:

Make Your Account Private
Doing this will make sure that only your friends and approved followers will be able to see your posts. Everyone else will have to send you a friend request.

From your mobile:

  • Go to your profile
  • Tap the “person” icon on the lower-right corner of the screen
  • Swipe to the left and tap the Settings gear icon that appears
  • Select “Privacy and Security” then “Account Privacy”
  • Turn “Private Account” on

From your computer:

  • Click on the “person” icon in the upper-right corner of the screen
  • Select the gear icon next to your name
  • Select “Privacy and Security”
  • Select “Account Privacy”
  • Click on the checkbox for Private Account.

Block Specific Followers
Doing this allows you to you block specific followers from seeing your posts.

From your mobile:

  • Tap “Followers” at the top of the main menu
  • Search for the follower you want to block
  • Select “Remove”

From your computer:

  • Click on the person icon and then on “Followers”
  • Search for the follower you want to block
  • Select “Block this user”

Turn on Two-Factor Authentication
If you do not already have two-factor authentication turned on please do this now. It is easy to do and adds an extra layer of security that you need to have. When two-factor authentication is turned on Instagram will send you a text message with an authentication code every time you log in to Instagram on a new device.

From your mobile:

  • Go to “Settings”
  • Go to “Privacy and Security”
  • Go to “Two-Factor Authentication”
  • Go to “Get Started”
  • Toggle on “Text Message.”

From your computer:

  • Go to the person icon
  • Click on the gear icon
  • Click on “Privacy and Security”
  • “Edit Two-Factor Authentication Setting”
  • Check “Text Message.”

Please let me know if you need any help with any of these steps or help with anything else. Our team are on standby to help in anyway they can.

Thanks and have a great day.

Max Roberts,
Incognito Privacy Care Team.
