Hey friends

How are you today?

I hope you’re having a great day! We’ve been keeping an eye on some nasty cyber threats, and today I want to tell you about something serious—spyware apps that record your conversations, track your location, and steal your messages without you even knowing.

This is one of the biggest risks we’ve seen lately, and some of these apps were even on the Google Play Store. If you have them installed, you need to delete them right away.

But before we dive in, if you missed our last updates, we talked about how hackers are hijacking Signal accounts using QR codes and why anyone can now launch a cyberattack with zero skills using the Darcula phishing kit. If you haven’t read those yet, check them out in the Incognito app—they could save you from becoming a victim.

Now, let’s get into today’s big threat.

What’s Happening?
Security researchers at ESET discovered 12 dangerous Android apps designed to spy on users without their knowledge. These apps were spread through fake messages, romance scams, and even WhatsApp and Facebook conversations, tricking victims into downloading them.

• Once installed, they secretly record your conversations, steal messages, and track your location.
• Some can even intercept WhatsApp and Signal chats without your knowledge.
• Over 1,400 users downloaded these apps before they were removed from the Google Play Store.

🚨 The 12 Apps You Must Delete NOW 🚨
If you have any of these apps installed, remove them immediately: Rafaqat, Privee Talk, MeetMe, Let’s Chat, Quick Chat, Chit Chat, YohooTalk, TikTalk, Hello Cha, Nidus, GlowChat, Wave Chat.

One of the worst, Wave Chat, can turn on your microphone and record your conversations. That’s next-level spying.

How to Stay Safe

✅ Delete suspicious apps now—if you don’t recognize it, remove it.
✅ Check app permissions—if an app asks for your microphone, camera, or location and doesn’t need it, deny the request
✅ Never download apps from unknown links—especially if someone sends them in a message.
✅ Use a trusted security app—Incognito scans for spyware, hidden trackers, and dangerous apps
✅ Regularly review your apps—don’t let unknown software stay on your phone.

And remember—this isn’t the first time hackers have found ways to spy on your phone. If you think deleting an app is enough, think again. Spyware can stay hidden even after removal.
