USA UPDATE: 30 Million Stolen Payment Card Details for Sale on Dark Web - Act Now

January 30, 2020

Hi Guys,

We can now confirm that over 30,000,000 Stolen Payment Card Details from the recent Wawa convenience store breach are now for sale on the dark web. If you ever paid for anything by credit card in a Wawa store over the past year you have to assume that your credit card details are included and that you are at risk. Please act now.

What happened?

According to a Wawa press release published on the company's website attackers managed to install malware on its point-of-sale servers used to process customers' payments. By the time the malware was discovered by the Wawa security team the malware had already infected in-store payment processing systems at "potentially all Wawa locations."

What can you do?

1. If you bought anything from any of the Wawa convenience stores since March this year we advise you to monitor your payment card statements carefully.

2. In case you find any unauthorized charges, immediately notify your payment card issuer of it

3. If possible, you should consider blocking the affected payment card and requesting a new one from your bank.

Thank you and please let me know if you need anything at all.

All the best,

Max Roberts
