First American Financial, a US real-estate insurance company was caught accidentally leaking customers' highly personal files online. Have you ever done business with them?
The companies website hosts over 885 million insurance-related documents – including details of wire transfers, and property records – going back 16 years, which could be all easily accessed online.
Have you ever done business with them? If you have you have to assume that your personal information has been leaked online for anyone to see.
Call them and ask them these questions:
1. How much of your information has been exposed during this leak?
2. Are they prepared to offer you Identity Theft Protection?
