Hi Guys,
We just added a piece of malware to the Incognito scanning database that finds and removes a nasty hacking tool that can take over and empty a victim’s bank account in seconds. Please scan your phone now to make sure you are not at risk.
The malware, called Revive, due to its ability to automatically revive itself upon shut down, was initially discovered by Federico Valentini and Francesco Iubatti from CLEAFY. As per their report, Revive has three main capabilities:
- Capturing everything written on the device through a keylogger module.
- Performing “on-device” phishing attacks through the usage of clone pages, which aim to steal banking login credentials.
- Intercepting all SMS received on the infected device, typically from banks and financial institutions in the PSD2 area (e.g. authorization codes 2FA/OTP)
At the moment, Revive is mainly targetting Spanish banks, but this could change in seconds which is why we are informing our community worldwide.
Please share this message with your family, friends, and colleagues.
Wishing you a great rest of your day.
All the best,
Max Roberts,
Incognito Privavy Care Team.
