Hi there,

Keeping your privacy intact is an integral part of living in the digital age, and part of that involves knowing how to manage your files – including photos. There might be some pictures you’d rather keep private or hidden on your Android device. These could be personal photos, sensitive documents, or simply images that you’d rather not have visible in your main photo album.

Knowing how to locate and view these hidden photos is equally as important. You might need to access these photos for various reasons like sharing them securely, moving them to a different folder or even unhiding them when they’re no longer sensitive.

Follow the step-by-step guide below to hide, locate, and unhide photos on your Android device:

Hiding Photos:

  1. Open the Gallery app on your Android device.
  2. Navigate to the photos you want to hide.
  3. Tap and hold the photo until the menu pops up.
  4. Select the Move to Private option.

Locating and Viewing Hidden Photos:

  1. Open the Gallery app on your Android device.
  2. Tap on the three vertical dots in the top right corner to open the menu.
  3. Select Private or Secure Folder. (You may be asked to authenticate using your fingerprint, pin, or password).
  4. You will then see your hidden photos.

Unhiding Photos:

  1. Navigate to your private or secure folder following the steps above.
  2. Tap and hold the photo you wish to unhide until the menu pops up.
  3. Select Move Out of Private or Move Out of Secure Folder.

It’s important to remember that the terms may slightly vary depending on the type of Android device and the version of the Android OS you are using. If you can’t find the options as stated above, consult your device’s user manual or contact the device manufacturer’s customer support for further guidance.
