Hi guys,
Health insurance giant Kaiser has notified millions of its users of a data breach. Approximately 13.4 million current and former members of the insurance giant have been affected. After investigating, Kaiser found that certain online technologies previously installed on its website and mobile apps may have transmitted personal information to 3rd party advertisers. The shared data includes member names, members who signed into their Kaiser account, how they use the website, and what they searched for in the health encyclopedia.
It’s not the most significant breach ever, but this information could be used for personal identity theft. If you’re a member of Kaiser Insurance, make sure that you’ve reset all of your account passwords and also contact them to ask if they are providing identity theft protection facilities. If you have any questions or comments or if you need anything at all, let us know.
We are here 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to answer any questions you might have.
All the best,
Stephen McCormack
