The Verge has published a fascinating article exploring the capabilities of smart glasses similar to those used in spy films. Smart glasses, ranging from those with built-in cameras to those with augmented reality capabilities, have become more advanced and widely available.
Smart glasses can be used for good purposes, such as aiding those with visual impairments or helping people with dementia recognize familiar faces. However, they can also be used for less savoury purposes, such as recording others without their consent or identifying individuals without their knowledge.
It is a brand new world we live in. All the weird, wonderful, and scary things we saw in movies over the years are happening now. Does this mean what we all watch and focus on now will happen or play out in 20 years? Anyway, here is the link to the original article:
