Hi guys,

If you are a user of Facebook, you might have seen a new option called link history. This feature lets you see a breakdown of every link you’ve clicked on using the Facebook network.

Facebook says it is designed to help you remember links you’ve clicked on in the past, but you need to know that it also uses this list to create targeted adverts and track your browsing activity.

If you’re one of the many people who want to avoid being tracked in this way, Facebook now offers you the option to turn off link history.

Please follow the instructions below.

  • Open the Facebook app
  • Go to your Menu 3. Tap on Settings & privacy and go to Settings
  • Scroll down and tap on Browser.
  • Disable the “Allow link history” option so that it’s turned off.

Note: If you can’t see this option in your Facebook settings, the option has yet to be rolled out to your account.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments about this or anything else. Our privacy care team are available to you 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to answer any questions.

All the best,

Max Roberts.
