Please be on the lookout for a modified version of the WhatsApp messaging app for Android called FMWhatsapp. This fake version has been weaponized to allow an attacker to remotely install malicious payloads to your device, display full-screen ads, and sign you up for unwanted premium subscriptions without your knowledge.
The app is called FMWhatsApp and it claims to allow users to customize the app with different themes, personalize the WhatsApp icon, etc. It looks legitimate, and you could be easily tricked into installing it, but if you install it, you will be opening a massive backdoor into your device.
Please do not install this app and if you already have this version installed, please email our team straight away, and we will help you fully remove it from your device.
