Microsoft released its latest Patch Tuesday update, addressing 89 security vulnerabilities across its software portfolio.

Four of these are classified as zero-day vulnerabilities, with two actively exploited in the wild. This patch release underscores the critical importance of timely updates to protect against potential cyber threats.

  • Open Windows Settings:
    • Click the Start button.
    • Select Settings (gear icon).
  • Go to Windows Update:
    • In Settings, select Update & Security.
    • Click on Windows Update.
  • Check for Updates:
    • Click Check for updates to see if there are any new updates available.
  • Install Available Updates:
    • If updates are found, click Install now.
    • Wait for the updates to download and install. You may need to restart your computer afterward.
  • Enable Automatic Updates (Optional):
    • To ensure your system stays up-to-date, in the Windows Update settings, select Advanced options.
