Microsoft released its latest Patch Tuesday update, addressing 89 security vulnerabilities across its software portfolio.
Four of these are classified as zero-day vulnerabilities, with two actively exploited in the wild. This patch release underscores the critical importance of timely updates to protect against potential cyber threats.
- Open Windows Settings:
- Click the Start button.
- Select Settings (gear icon).
- Go to Windows Update:
- In Settings, select Update & Security.
- Click on Windows Update.
- Check for Updates:
- Click Check for updates to see if there are any new updates available.
- Install Available Updates:
- If updates are found, click Install now.
- Wait for the updates to download and install. You may need to restart your computer afterward.
- Enable Automatic Updates (Optional):
- To ensure your system stays up-to-date, in the Windows Update settings, select Advanced options.
