Hi Guys,

Twitter has been breached. The hacker named ‘Devil’ used a patched vulnerability to get their hands on user data for over 50 million Twitter users. This data is currently on sale on dark web forums for about US$30,000. The seller claims that the dataset includes “Celebrities, Companies, randoms, OGs, etc.” The data has been verified as 100% legitimate, so if you have a Twitter account, please follow this advice:

  • Change your password right now and make sure it is strong—at least ten characters with upper case, lower case, a number, and a symbol.
  • Be on the lookout for emails from Twitter asking you to enter your login credentials.
  • Never enter them unless you are sure the link is authentic.
  • Only enter your login details on Twitter.com.
  • Use the Incognito website checker to check any links you receive to see if they are safe.

Please pass this message to any family, friends, and colleagues who use Twitter.

All the best,

Max Roberts,
Incognito Privacy Care Team.
