Please be aware that there is an active scam happening where people are receiving bogus SMS messages containing links to login to Facebook. The message is very simple and it usually says something like “Get back on Facebook by Clicking Here”. Once the person clicks the link they are brought to a bogus Facebook login page that will attempt to steal their login credentials. We have analysed 15 links that were sent to us by our users and the majority of them goes to a malicious page.
In order to protect yourself, do not click on a link from an SMS message unless you are 100% sure it is safe to do so. If you are not sure you can copy the link into Incognito Website Checker and it will tell you if it is safe to do so. Website Checker is free for all of our users.
