DoorDash – 367,476 breached accounts
In August 2022, the food ordering and delivery service DoorDash disclosed a data breach that impacted a portion of their customers. DoorDash attributed the breach to an unnamed “third-party vendor” they stated was the victim of a phishing campaign. The incident exposed 367k unique personal email addresses alongside names, post codes and partial card data, namely the brand, expiry data and last four digits of the card.
If you have an account with DoorDash, please follow these steps:
- Change your password and make sure your new password is at least 10 characters long and contains an upper case, lower case, number and symbol. You can even use a modified phrase or a line from a song if that helps you remember.
- Make sure you do not use the same password twice as this leaves you vulnerable to credential stuffing.
- Find a good password manager tool to help you remember all of your passwords. Some of our users say that 1Password is a good tool.
