Hi everyone,

Today, a user asked what to do if sexually explicit or nude images of them are posted online by an ex-partner. They’re being blackmailed, and images have already been leaked.

Fortunately, there are resources available:

StopNCII.org StopNCII.org is a free tool to help victims of Non-Consensual Intimate Image (NCII) abuse. It generates a unique hash for your image(s)/video(s) to help remove them. They have a 90% removal rate and have successfully removed over 200,000 images. Access the service here.

Take It Down Take It Down is a free service for removing or stopping the online sharing of explicit images or videos taken of you when you were under 18. It allows you to remain anonymous and works on platforms that participate. This service is provided by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. Access the service here.

I hope you never need these resources, but it’s good to know they’re available if you do. If you need any help, let me know.

All the best, Stephen
